Job Posting Rules

Last updated 2nd February 2025

In order to provide a positive experience for all parties that use the JobMirror services, job posters must adhere to these Job Posting Rules (“Rules”) when providing job content, in any representation of employment opportunities, and throughout the application process. Where these Rules are not followed, we may remove or reduce the visibility of a job advertisement, employment opportunity, or application process (each, a “Job Posting”) or suspend or terminate the job poster’s account without a refund of any fees paid.

1. Acceptable Job Postings

JobMirror is a platform designed to provide job postings for legitimate, paid positions. It should not be used to post:

  • Multi-level marketing (MLM) opportunities
  • Unpaid internships or unpaid roles
  • Non-employment arrangements (e.g., volunteer positions without clear benefits)
  • Casting calls or auditions for modeling, acting, or talent management
  • Survey collections, opinion participants, focus groups, etc.
  • Franchise or business opportunities
  • Any other non-viable or non-qualifying employment opportunities

2. Job Transparency

Job posters are expected to provide transparent and accurate information in their job postings. This includes:

  • Ensuring all job content accurately represents the position offered
  • Job postings must reflect real, open job opportunities
  • Using industry-standard language to clearly communicate the responsibilities, qualifications, and compensation
  • Any changes to the posting must reflect the most current and accurate opportunity

3. Additional Requirements for Job Postings

  • All job postings must be relevant to job opportunities within Zambia
  • Job seekers must not be required to create an account or register to view job descriptions
  • Job posters must not require job seekers to pay any fees directly to the employer
  • Job postings should not contain illegal, offensive, obscene, or threatening content
  • Do not include personal information (e.g., Social Security numbers) in job descriptions or application instructions
  • Job postings should not be used to promote or advertise products or services unrelated to the job opportunity
  • Avoid including irrelevant keywords in the job title or description for SEO purposes
  • Do not require applicants to submit photos or videos unless necessary for the position

4. Job Poster’s Responsibility

Job posters are responsible for ensuring that the content of their job postings complies with all applicable laws, including:

  • Anti-discrimination laws
  • Employment eligibility
  • Criminal records
  • Compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulations
  • Sexual exploitation content
  • Sanctions compliance

5. Review and Revision of Job Postings

JobMirror reserves the right to review job postings to ensure they comply with these rules. Job posters may be asked to revise their postings to clarify job details or meet platform standards. Failure to comply with these revisions may result in removal of the job posting or termination of the account.

6. Changes to Job Posting Rules

JobMirror reserves the right to update or change these Job Posting Rules as necessary. It is the responsibility of the job poster to review these rules periodically to ensure compliance.
